Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language draft. Have a qualified lawyer review it against your jurisdiction's requirements (including GDPR if you serve EU users) before you rely on it.

What we collect

• Your account details: email address, name, and a securely hashed password.
• The content you submit for review: manuscripts, abstracts, response letters, invitations, and any notes or guideline documents you upload or paste.
• Your reviewer profile: standing instructions, expertise, writing-voice samples, and defaults.
• Usage records needed to run your plan (counts of reviews per month) and billing data held by our payment processor.

How your manuscript content is processed

To produce a review, the content you submit is sent to Anthropic's API (the Claude models) for processing, and for fact-checking, relevant queries may be sent to web search. Anthropic does not train its models on data submitted through its API. We send only what is needed to perform the task you requested. We do not sell your content.

How long we keep it

• Completed reviews are saved to your account so you can revisit and re-export them, until you delete them.
• Uploaded source content held between the identification and full-review steps is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
• You can delete individual reviews at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Confidentiality reminder

Manuscripts under peer review are often confidential and unpublished. Only upload material you are permitted to process with a third-party tool, and follow the AI policy of the journal you are reviewing for.

Security

Passwords are hashed with a modern algorithm, all traffic is served over HTTPS, each account's data is isolated from every other account, and access to the service requires authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
